Competent authorities who have prepared the majority of the SA/SEA or HRA process in-house may seek an external review and quality assurance process. Urban Edge Environmental Consulting can provide this service at any point in the assessment cycle. There are established checklist protocols advocated by central government and the Planning Advisory Service. We also bring our own wealth of experience in this field to provide objective and constructive advice and views on behalf of clients.

Any organisation considering quality assurance support is advised to recognise timetable limitations; introduction at the end of an assessment process can restrict the ability to change findings; especially in relation to the assessment of reasonable alternatives.
