Brentford Lock West EcIA

Project: Brentford Lock West EcIA (2008-2011)
Urban Edge Environmental Consulting team members contributed to the EcIA of the Brentford Lock West mixed residential site in west London. The outline planning application concerned the comprehensive redevelopment of the site referred to as Brentford Lock West.
The 6.25 ha site included part of the Grand Union Canal and part of Robin Grove Recreation Ground. Ecology issues included aquatic Phase 1 Extended Habitat Survey, aquatic invertebrate surveys, bat surveys, and botanical surveys. Invasive species were encountered. Successful mitigation strategies were prepared including local green infrastructure enhancement. The application was successfully consented.
