Hannah is a Principal Consultant with over a decade’s experience working in the private and public sector on a variety of environmental and sustainability projects worldwide. She has extensive experience in the UK planning system, by delivering Environmental Impact Assessments and leading local authorities through the Development Consent Order process for Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects. She effectively manages and clearly communicates throughout all stages of the project and can efficiently coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, for private developers and local authorities. Having worked across all sectors, Hannah can help guide a range of clients through the complexities of each project.

Prior to joining Urban Edge Environmental Consulting, Hannah was an Associate Environment Consultant at Buro Happold. She pioneered a first of its kind project, working with Kent County Council, to seek opportunities for nature-based solutions to climate change in Kent. This project involved analysing a range of environmental data from KCC and their stakeholders, to map the current habitats across Kent and Medway. Using a multi-disciplinary team (including economics and health and wellbeing experts) the report provided a business case for  nature-based solutions and recommendations of how to deliver these solutions. This also involved leading two stakeholder workshops – one with Cabinet Members and one with local stakeholders – to gather the priorities for the County.

Hannah also has extensive experience in the UK Town and Country planning and EIA regulations, whilst delivering EIA’s for multiple projects across the UK. This includes Thameside West, a major regeneration scheme in London, that being a high-profile scheme took several years to receive planning permission. Hannah built a strong relationship with the client and became a trusted advisor on many issues relating to the EIA and planning application to ensure the scheme was successfully delivered.

Outside of work, Hannah is an avid outdoor swimmer (even in the winter), loves pottering in the garden and finding the best coffee spots around East Sussex with her family.
